While France is mainly known as a wine country, it also has deep historical ties with beer as well. For example, the common word for a restaurant, brasserie, is also the same word used for a 'brewery' . Moreover, beer also predates wine in France by approximately 500 years!

In this Paris craft beer walking tour we showcase all that French Craft Beer has to offer. We visit craft beer bars and sample a variety of different styles of beer, all exclusively French. We discuss French beer history and cover everything from the beginnings of beer in France approximately 2,500 years ago, to the recent boom of craft beer in the last 10 years.

Itinerary

We'll meet in the center of Paris at our favorite local craft beer bar (location upon booking). After getting to know each other and tasting a variety of beers, we will either walk (or take the metro depending on weather) to our next location. As we walk we will go over local history of the area. We will continue in this way visiting two more craft beer bars. At our last craft beer bar we will also enjoy some traditional French cheese and/or charcuterie to pair with the beer.
